For all of those interested fans out there Adam "Pacman" Jones has been reinstated into the NFL...per General Manager and owner Jerry Jones...It has not been officially confirmed via comissioner Roger Goodell but what the heck if Jerry says that he's back then its a wrap. Now lets put aside all of the past and recent drama that Pacman has been involved in and see how great of a player he is.
So is he a good player or not?? Personally I think that the Cowboys could use the troubled cornerback. Why? Although Terrance Newman had a heck of a game against the Redskins on Sunday, we have to remember that he is still coming off from a lengthy injury, not to mention that wide reciever Miles Austin is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks, in addition running back Felix Jones' is still being limited in practice due to his hamstring and toe injury. So who will be the Cowboys punt returner?? Many of you shout out the name of Patrick Crayton..true...Crayton is a good player...but be honest with yourself being a punt returner requires a little more speed than Crayton has to offer. Pacman hasn't showed us the complete "PacMan" side on the field yet...but maybe if he stays out of trouble this time he will.
Being that my reasoning for thinking that the Cowboys could use Jones right now has been stated, my next question to you is can he be trusted AGAIN??
We all know that the primary goal for this team right now is MAKING THE PLAYOFFS!!!. If this team wants to make the playoffs, no one can risk the possibility of going back and forth on the latest trouble that was caused by Pacman. Now when it comes to the team as a "whole" the presence of Pacman can become a major distraction. Pacman is not a bad person....he just makes dumb decisions.
So the question that is still up in the air is...Can Pacman be trusted again?? I've told you my thoughts, now tell me yours.
Here is some information that I thought may be interesting to some of you...
10/15/08: 4-game suspension by the league
6/2/08: Partially reinstated by the league.

Since the Titans drafted cornerback Adam Jones in 2005 he's been questioned, named or arrested in connection with at least 12 off-field incidents. Here are some:
• April 05- Strip club incident: Jones' was involved in a fight that broke out ina strip club...the case was dismissed.
• June 05- Hotel incident: Security officials at a Hotel had trouble getting a couple of Pacman's friends to check out of their room after check out time, the police were called and smelled marijuana while entering the room and found additional marijuana on a table. Jones was in the room, but one of the friends stepped up and took the blame for the evidence.
• July 05- Nightclub arrest: After a fight at a Nashville nightclub, Jones was arrested on two counts of misdemeanor assault and a felony count of vandalism. Charges were dismissed less than a year later.
• April 2006-Vehicle confiscation: Police said a vehicle registered to Jones was involved in a drug trafficking ring. "Pac Man" was engraved on the leather seats of a 2004 Cadillac XLR which was confiscated from a friend of Jones. Jones later bought the car back at an auction.
•April 2006- Shots fired: Jones was at the scene where gunshots were fired following an altercation at a Nashville gas station at late hours in the morning. Police questioned Jones as a witness. The incident occurred just three days after the vehicle confiscation.
•August 2006- Nightclub arrest: Jones was arrested and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors, for an incident at Sweetwater Saloon. With six months of good behavior the charges would be dropped.
•October 2006- Spitting incident: Jones was issued a citation for misdemeanor assault after being accused of spitting in the face of a Tennessee State student following a verbal exchange at a downtown nightclub. The charge was later dismissed.
•February 2007- Nightclub fracas: Jones took a plea deal to reduce felony charges to a gross misdemeanor in connection with his involvement in a nightclub disturbance. He got probation in return for his testimony about an ensuing triple shooting that left one man paralyzed.
•October 2008- Hotel scuffle: Jones was involved in an alcohol-related incident with a bodyguard assigned to him by the Jerry Jones, and hotel employees called police. No arrests were made, nor were there charges filed. But the NFL suspended Jones for at least four games because the incident was a violation of the league's personal conduct policy.

Can he be trusted? No.
Let's pretend the Cowboys have the ideal situation... Jones gets to play again after 2 more missed games, ok. Dallas makes it to the playoffs, ok. The Cowboys win the Super Bowl, ok. Now it's time to celebrate allll summer long. You think Adam will be sitting at home, taking it easy? Doubt it. It'll be the countdown to when he gets put out the league... forever. He's the type of person that won't "get it" until it's too late. The more chances the NFL gives him, the more opportunities he will get, to mess them up. Stick a fork in him, he's done.
Let the countdown begin...
